Issey Swimwear was founded in 2018 by a mother and daughter with a shared love for fashion, creativity and designing swimwear that helps girls feel confident, beautiful and excited to wear it.

Like many small businesses, our journey started at home around the kitchen table with nothing more than an idea and a sewing machine. As Issey grew, so did we, moving from the kitchen to the dining room before eventually building our own dedicated studio, where we continue to design and create today.

Neither of us came from a fashion background. We taught ourselves everything from sewing and pattern making to designing, sampling and building a business from the ground up. Everything we’ve achieved has come through years of learning, making mistakes, finding solutions and never giving up. There have been sleepless nights, hard lessons and plenty of moments that have challenged us, but every one of them has helped shape Issey into the brand it is today.

Since launching, we’ve never stood still. Every summer has brought new ideas, fabrics, textures and techniques. Fashion is always evolving, and so are we. We love learning, refining our designs and creating collections that feel fresh, flattering and unique.

Every collection starts with one simple question: What would the girls genuinely love to wear? We think about how every piece will fit, how it will make you feel and the confidence it will give you the moment you put it on. We spend countless hours perfecting every design because we believe it’s the little details that make the biggest difference.

Although Issey has grown into a brand worn by thousands of girls across the UK and beyond, we’re still the same family-run business at heart. We read your messages, celebrate your photos, listen to your feedback and are always looking for ways to make every collection even better than the last.
